Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport Airport Services

Accessibility

Planning and researching accessibility options before traveling will improve passengers’ experience. Commuters are encouraged to check with their airline what equipment is allowed to bring on a plane.

An airline can offer a manual wheelchair, assistance to and from the gate area, or supply a temporary escort pass to allow someone else to help passengers to the gate if necessary. Commuters are urged to identify their needs to the relevant airline at least forty-eight (48) hours before travel to provide time for their requests to be fulfilled.

Chapel

Available post-security on the Departures Level, the Chapel provides guests with a peaceful retreat from the flurry of airport activities for meditation, reflection, and prayer. The non-denominational Aviation Interfaith Ministry provides pastoral care at the airport upon request.

The Chapel is accessible for 24 hours a day, seven days of the week, with volunteer chaplaincy services on an as-available schedule.

Information Desk

The information counter is available at the arrivals level, door # 2, landside.

However, passengers should consider the working hours of the counter. The information desk is open from 08:00 am – 09:45 pm. Commuters can also seek assistance 24 hours a day from one of the many information phones conveniently located throughout the terminal building. Passengers should look for the phones with a black question-mark sign.
