Comox Valley Airport Car Rentals

All providers of rental car services at Comox Airport are required to provide cars that are equipped with hand control systems. However, passengers are still recommended to confirm the availability of a specialized vehicle before arrival, to allow sufficient time to position the fleet correctly.


For reaching the Budget counter, commuters should proceed to the Budget desk available in the baggage claim area.

All the vehicles are located right outside the Budget facility.

When returning a vehicle to the rental facility, customers will be shuttled to the airport terminal.

After-hours returns are available at the Budget.

After customers park and lock the vehicle, they should place the completed rental agreement together with keys in the designated dropbox in the returns are.

Debit cards are not accepted at time of rental at the Budget desk. A debit card can only be used to pay for the hire at the time of car return.

When returning a vehicle, the driver must show a valid driver’s license in the driver’s name.

However, customers who present a driver’s license in a non-roman alphabet are also required to show an International Driving Permit (IDP) in addition to their valid driver’s license.

Renter’s domestic partner or spouse who meets the same driver’s license and age requirements of the renter are considered authorized drivers at no additional charge. Any additional authorized drivers are required to appear at the time of rental and meet both age and driver’s license requirements. A charge of $10 per day is added to the cost of the rental for every additional authorized driver.

A spouse or domestic partner is the only permitted additional driver on a hire secured with a debit card.

Commuters can park the vehicle in any of the Enterprise marked parking stalls. When returning car travelers should lock the car doors and bring the keys inside the airport. The keys should be placed in the Enterprise dropbox located on the car rental counter. Customers remain responsible for the condition of the vehicle until the agency does a formal check-in, on the next business day.

Vehicles rented in Canada can be driven throughout Canada and are not permitted to be driven into Mexico.
