At Teesside International Airport the bus number 12 serves the airport for around six times each day: two routes before 9 am and four routes from 3.25 pm. Bus service provides onward ride departing from Hurworth running through the center of Darlington town, Morton Park, Middleton St George, and to the MME terminal building.

Darlington town center is located just a ten-minute walk from Darlington train station, served by the East Coast Main Line. Getting at MME by Car

Passengers can get to the MME airport right by their private vehicles from the north and south sides as follows:

  • From the North - drivers should take the A19, which is signposted as The South/Teesside, and later join the A66 signposted Darlington. From A1(M), drivers should take the A1(M) (signposted as The South) and leave at Junction 59. Then, take the 1st exit into the A167 (signposted as Darlington), and follow the signs for the MME airport.
  • From the South - drivers should follow the A19 (signposted as The North) before turning into the A66 (signposted as Darlington). Then follow signs for the MME airport. From A1(M), they should leave at Junction 57 and join the A66 (signposted as Darlington/Teesside). After that, drivers should follow the signs for the MME airport.

Train

Another transportation option to use to get to the MME airport is to take the region's central railway station - Darlington, located within six miles away. Darlington station is served with more than 40 trains each day.
