For hand luggage, the airlines generally allow passengers to bring one bag per person. However, this requirement can vary depending on the airline. Various weight restrictions can also apply, so commuters are advised to make sure they check with the relevant airline in advance. Hand luggage is required to fit in the overhead compartment of the airplane, so the dimensions of the bag should not exceed 55x35x16 cm. There are also limitations on what is permitted or forbidden to pack.
Checked-in Luggage
If passengers need to bring any extra luggage, they can also check-in it. Checked-in luggage is safely stored in the cargo hold of the airplane. All baggage is handled with a great deal of care to guarantee that it gets back to owners safe and sound. The maximum weight and size of checked-in baggage depend on the airline, so commuters are advised to make sure they receive all the information they need before packing. The price for checking-in luggage also varies.
Oversized Luggage
When passengers are traveling with massive musical instruments or other heavy sports equipment, and their baggage does not fall within the advised weight or dimensions, commuters are recommended to contact their airline well in advance of the scheduled flight. Travelers should remember the specific set of regulations and restrictions that apply to this kind of luggage.
