Terminal The airport includes a single passenger terminal building with an airline ticket and check-in counters, airport security checkpoints, and customs facilities. There is an airside departure lounge that contains a duty-free shop, bar, and snack bar. Boarding of aircraft is usually on foot across the apron, although sometimes buses are used when the plane is not parked directly next to the terminal building. An adjacent building to the terminal includes the ground side restaurant and flying club, with outdoor seating available under an awning between the two buildings. Other ground side catering, as well as the shopping outlets, are conveniently situated around an adjacent open courtyard.
Public Transport Passengers can easily reach Lugano Airport by train, thanks to the Lugano-Ponte Tresa Train Service (FLP), starting from directly opposite the main Railway Station in Lugano. From the stop at Agno, commuters can reach the airport in 10 minutes’ walk. The service is accessible every day.
