How to call a taxi?
Passengers of Kirkwall airport, who are using a non-UK mobile or a cell phone, should dial their international access code, by following the UK code 44 and then omit the 0 at the start of the dialed phone number.
At the main terminal building, passengers can use a payphone, which is designated right to the right side of the Information Counter. If a passenger is using the payphone just for local calls, he/she does not need to dial 01856. Also, passengers should be aware that the payphone takes the pieces of 20p.
