Bangor International Airport Duty-Free is located on the second floor of the airport building. The shops presented at BGR Duty-Free include Bangor News and Gifts, providing snacks, souvenirs, magazines, newspapers, and books. Also, for the hungry passengers, there is a Bar and the coffee shop, offering sandwiches, local dishes, and a wide range of coffee and other drinks. At Bangor International Airport Duty-Free, there also is a TDD phone service available.

All passengers traveling internationally or domestically, arriving at Bangor International Airport are subject to Transportation Security Administration security screening. The procedure is similar to the testing done for departing flight. After arriving at BGR, travelers go under a full-body scanner, and their carry-on bags are being checked too. With escalators and elevators, passengers can go up to the second floor of the building. On the second floor of the terminal, there is the main area for the airport services.
