Requirements

At the time of pick-up, the driver must show a valid, U.S. - issued driver’s license as well as a credit card in the driver’s name. If the license is not issued in the U.S., customers must present their drivers’ license and either a Canadian enhanced license or a passport.

Due to the regulations in the U.S., the underage surcharge is waived in participating locations in all states except Maryland, Michigan, and New York. The minimum age requirements are the same. The underage tax will apply for rentals starting on or after June 1, 2020.

Avis at this location rents to customers who are between the ages of 21-24 and have a valid credit card and driver’s license. At the time of rental, the underage customers will automatically be applied for an additional $27-per-day surcharge. Renters who are 21-24 will only be allowed to rent Economy (Group A), Compact (Group B), Intermediate (Group C), Standard (Group D), Full-size cars (Group E), and Intermediate SUV (Group F).

At the time of rental, passengers will be requested an authorization on their charge card for the estimated rental charges. After the rental is over, Avis will process the reversal, but the bank may take time to post it back to the account.

Debit cards are not accepted at time of rental at ADQ. A debit card can be used to pay for the rent at the time of the car return.
